We are proud to announce a new GreenForest presence as exhibitor at the international trade fair Orgatec 2024, Koln Messe, Germany, from October 22-25, the main important Office furniture, and facilities fair from Europe. The exhibition offers the opportunity to present the results of the collaboration between the famous architect, product designer and professor Roberto Semprini and GreenForest manifested in several new product collections.
Roberto Semprini, as Italian product designer with over three decades of experience pushing the boundaries of traditional furniture design. With a background in architecture, which he studied in Florence, Semprini began his career in 1987, collaborating with the avant-garde group “Bolidismo.” This experience shaped his open-minded approach, where design is not confined to functionality but becomes a form of artistic expression. Roberto collaboration with GreenForest for the collection showcased at Orgatec highlights these signature traits.
What sets Semprini apart is his unique ability to merge architectural geometry with the fluidity of contemporary art, infusing his designs with vibrant, emotional aesthetics. Every piece he creates bears the hallmark of his unconventional style and artistic influences.
One of his iconic pieces of furniture is Tatlin produced by Edra. Tatlin transcends the typical dimensions of a sofa to become a symbol. A manifesto and iconic image of the 1990s, it is a centerpiece sofa characterized by its spiral shape, loosely inspired by Vladimir Tatlin’s tower from 1920. Tatlin was part also of Madonna – Drowned World Tour 2001 concerts scenography.

For the GreenForest Office 21 collection, which will debut at Orgatec 2024, Roberto Semprini drew inspiration from Piet Mondrian, a pioneer of the 20th-century De Stijl movement. Mondrian revolutionized art through his use of simple geometric forms—straight lines and rectangles—and a color palette limited to primary hues of red, yellow, and blue, alongside black and white.

Mondrian’s work strikes a fine balance between simplicity and complexity. While his compositions may seem minimalist, they conceal deep structure and mathematical precision. These same principles were applied to the furniture collection developed by GreenForest in collaboration with Semprini, maintaining the clarity of lines and strict geometry. At the same time, the furniture brings a sense of dynamism and flexibility, catering to the needs of modern workspaces without compromising on elegance or functionality.
